Seniority in a team is not a basis for appointing a captain. Lionel Messi is not the most senior player in the Argentine team yet he is the captain. Commitment is the key word. Ahmed Musa has the requisite commitment to lead the team, whoever is not happy with it should leave the team.

Bros it is happening and will still happen. Germany coach Löw gave it to Philip Lahm,while Ballack is still playing. And you know what after they play their first world cup final in South Africa 2010 which they lost,4years later they won it in Brazil. Anyway Enyeama has helped us a lot he deserves some respect.

Calm down you nerves, he is the coach and he can hand over captain band to anybody. When last did Mikel played a 90 minutes match? He is almost a forgotten Chelsea player. Enyeama is about retiring. In the Brazilian team, Neymar is the captain under the new coach. He stripped off Silva, what would you say about that? Isn't Silva better than Enyeama and Mikel combined as a captain? Isn't Brazil a bigger footie nation than Nigeria? Dunga passed Marcelo, Dani Alves, Hulk, et al and handed it over to Neymar.

Most of you are getting it wrong. Captaincy has nothing to do with longetivity or lengendary. The coach chose whoever he feels confortable with and that can lead the team forward. Oliseh is on point on this one.
