Pa Sam Amuka-Pemu, Nigeria’s oldest newspaper publisher, is reportedly down with a debilitating health problem, following the refusal of his wife to return to Nigeria since she fled the country in August 2007. Amuka-Pemu is the publisher of Vanguard Newspaper located in the Apapa industrial area of Lagos. His wife, Mrs. Oyindamola Sam-Amuka, a middle-aged woman and mother of five is still hiding in a London community to escape justice after she was arrested for allegedly facilitating the killing of a 14-year-old boy for rituals.
