The Gunners are happily gunning away in their comfortable 4th place on the table. It's obvious to all that they are not winning the trophy this season, so all they are in contention for now is a spot in the UCL next season, and that seems in place.
Getting 3 points won't hurt though when they receive Middlesbrough at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
After a stunning performance in their last game against Liverpool, it would have been safe to say Boro should be scared if the Gunners weren't so erratic.
No guarantee that they will play as well on Sunday. Arshavin the assassin should start though, so the goals are expected to fly in. 2nd goalie Fabianski has also improved a lot. He was lovely in the Liverpool game, just that he had a terrible defense. Arsene needs to fix that backline problem before Sunday, else Aliadiere will put 2 in.
Wenger also needs to choose his selections wisely if he desires 3 points. Injury list is depressing for them however - Van Persie, Adebayor, Djourou, Clichy, Almunia, and William Gallas are on the injured list.
Adebayor and Clichy are expected to feature in this game. Latest news now is Van Persie will miss the UCL 1st leg clash against United due to his groin problem, so it's safe to say he won't be playing in this game against Boro.

Middlesbrough are in relegation zone. There will definitely be desperation on Sunday in a bid to get some crucial points that will ensure they come back next season. At this late stage, that's a serious battle, so expect a good fight from these guys.
Injured players are Pogatetz and Riggott. Gareth Southgate has one more shot to save his club, or say goodbye to the EPL for next season.

This should be another walk over, but i would rather have Prof rest Ade for our match against those red monkeys next week, we can't afford for him at this crucial stage to have any injuries especially in a win that won't amount to much.
