Early this morning October 12th, students of the University of Calabar protested in their school over lack of basic amenities like light and water in the hostel. All entrances and exits to and from school was blocked by aggrieved students. The riot/protest started at around 7:20am and went on for hours. It has been made known generally that the issue of lack o social amenities is really affecting most government owned schools such as futo, unizik etc. We pray the government finds a suitable solution to this problem of social amenities confronting our schools...
