Am getting my hernia removed about a week frm now via surgery and an pretty tensed up.
I dont knw how i will look like after da surgery. Maybe da doctors here could be of help, How would my umbilical look afterwards bcuz i have a large navel would it be smaller afta da surgery?

The surgery is supposed to help reduce your umbilicus(returns the herniated bowel loops into the abdomen)
Yes, You will have some degree of pain for a few days postop (depending on your pain threshold, quality of analgesia). Usually not severe though
Yes, sometimes a hernia could return after surgery, or you Coulter have what is called an incisional hernia. But herniorapphy is still necessary cause a hernia could get strangulated at anytime
