THE candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Ogun-East senatorial election, Dapo Abiodun, says the loss of the senator representing Ogun-East, Senator Buruji Kashamu, at the National and State assemblies elections petitions tribunal last Friday was an act of God.

The tribunal had ruled that the election which Kashamu of the Peoples Democratic Party won on March 28 was not free, fair and transparent.

The tribunal, therefore, ordered a rerun in 110 polling units thereby nullifying the victory of Kashamu. It also ordered fresh elections within 90 days.

Abiodun, while praising the ruling of the tribunal, described it as “God’s doing, that is marvellous in our sight.”
He also described the success of his petition as a victory for the people of his senatorial district.

He said, “My victory, though delayed, came at God’s time, which is the best. It was to serve a purpose. God delayed the victory of Joseph in the Bible for the right time, just as He delayed President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory for the right time.

“Our victory came at the right time, as it was eagerly expected all over the world. It also removed the tag of ridicule and stain which our opponent’s false emergence placed on the good, morally upright and hardworking people of Ogun-East senatorial district.”

Abiodun therefore called on his supporters not to lower their guards even as the full text of the judgment is being awaited, urging them to be law abiding.http://166.62.100.107/~punchng/2015/10/14/kashamus-loss-an-act-of-god-abiodun/

He still have a hard nut to crack in my opinion.

kashamu still leads with 5,000+ votes, and rerun in 100+ polling units. That translates to the fact that he must secure an average of at least 50 votes lead margin in each of the polling units. When you also consider voters turnout in bye election and other conditions, his chances of overturning Kashamus lead is low
