AS OUR MINISTERS PUT ON WHITE ROBES

It is no more news that Buhari's cabinet is about to start business after much ado. To be candid, any nation in our current economy coma does not need such decades of days to have sailors that will sail policies not only to resuscitate but fulfil change mantra.

From their nomination to screening and confirmation, there is no difference from what we have had in time past. In fact, it is all about rewarding political stewardship, political calculus and power recycling. Apart from some that are blessed with baggages of alleged corruption, women representation is 16% unlike 32% in immediate past administration and for the youth they will need to wait for the future.

Nevertheless, it is solely a prerogative of Mr President to pick whom he deems fit to work it and we have no choice than to live with it. He has overlooked their sins and tagged them saints instead of demons. So, we join Nigerians to congratulate them with the same mission statement that they should go and sin no more. They should not brag on self righteousness but guide with all diligence the political righteousness imputed on them.

They should eschew photoshopping and cosmetics governance as Nigerians are now wiser than before. In fact, Nigerians are awaiting their magic wands to bring change as promised.

Also, they should not follow Fashola's response to website saga as all bucks will end on their desks. His response at the screening was a minus to his credentials and political insult to our collective reasoning. May be we should school him as a SAN that responsibility of any authority delegated rest on shoulder of the principal, according to law of contract. Likewise Fayemi's response to government house should not be embraced. Akwa-Ibom receives highest shares of Federal Allocation while Ekiti is among the bottom-5. So, it is better to cut coat according to size of the cloth in all their dealings.

Also, they should beware of media outfits that will be singing their praises solely for brown envelope. As Nigerians have placed before them either to serve their party and pockets or the entire nation, GGA will not relent in painting their stewardships publicly.

Finally, they should not allow the President to make them noisemakers as he earlier asserted but good governance makers.

Once again accept our congratulations.
