Right now in Owerri the State capital of Imo State at Okigwe Road roundabout the Student Doctors of Imsuth orlu who are currently undergoing a peaceful protest over non payment of salaries, deplorable condition of the hospital and the 10 years duration of its medical school, are now been beaten up and tear gassed by the Nigerian Police on the order of Governor Rochas Okorocha...please help #SaveImsuth OUR AGITATIONS. 1. Hospital is shut down as a result of doctors strike for four months and still counting, Examinations are cancelled and deferred indefinitely. 2. Under-staffing of various departments and more than 10 years stay in medical school. 3. Hospital on the verge of Losing MDCN accreditation, no motorable roads, and insecurity. SOLUTIONS 1 payment of resident doctors, employment of more staff especially in departments of paediatrics, internal medicine and pathology. 2. Ensure we retain our MDCN accreditation, expand the hospital, and increase our quota as a sinequanone for the more than 10 years stay in medical school. 3.
