Manchester United's most expensive teenage whizkid Anthony Martial has been crowned the English Premier League Player of the Month for the month of September. The 19-year-old has made a remarkable impact at Old Trafford since becoming the most expensive teenager in transfer history with a £36m move from Monaco on deadline day.

Martial scored on his debut in the 3-1 victory over Liverpool on September 12 and then added a brace in a 3-2 away win at Southampton on September 20.

This came with mixed receptions from football fans in England as Arsenal fans complaining that their star player Alexis Sanchez should have been a better recipient of the award. Other players different football fans felt should have won the award includes Southampton duo of Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle; Odion Ighalo, Bournemouth's Callum Wilson and West Ham's Dimitri Payet.


Well, I think all these players have to wait because it's Martial's time, let him enjoy. Sorry gunners' fans, Sanchez would have to wait for another month.

On the other hand, Tottenham's gaffer Mauricio Pochettino won the Manager of the month after guiding his team to victories against Sunderland, Crystal Palace and notably against Man city. This is the first time the Argentinan manager will win the award.

The award was for September. Sanchez only shone on the last week of Sept and first week on Oct. So the kid actually deserves it.
