Nigeria is a beautiful country blessed with 36 states. Out of these 36 states, there are 7 vibrant ones one cannot help but notice because classical events and places that can give one a swell moment of a lifetime is present. These 7 lively cites are:
• Lagos
Lagos, the centre of excellence is often regarded as “small London” due to the availability of unique infrastructures, places and landmarks you may not find in other states in Nigeria. It is the busiest state with a lot of relaxation centres, malls and shows always holding each weekend to entertain the public. The thick and bulky street bread – Agege bread, which name was taken from Agege, a place in Lagos is well renowned for its filling and unique taste especially when combined with Akara.
• Port Harcourt
Port Harcourt with acronym “PH” is well known as the oil city due to refineries that are located there. There are many industrial centres and a lot of commercial activities take place in PH. It has coastal sandy beaches stretching from Opobo through Brass to Koluama, with numerous long and winding creeks, streams, and rivers. Famous meal in Port Harcourt you should try out is roasted plantain and fish usually sold by the road side.
• Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja is well known for the two famous rocks, Aso Rock (which the presidential villa is named after) and Zuma Rock. It is home to several parks and green areas with the largest one being Millennium Park. It has a variety of informal spaces known as "Bush Bars" where people can relax while having drinks and snacks such as suya, grilled catfish or pounded yam with egusi soup. The most famous snack is Kilinshi, which is made from very dried meat, seasoned with pepper and other condiments.
• Calabar
Calabar also referred to as "Canaan City" is watered by the Calabar and Great Kwa Rivers and creeks of the Cross River. The annual Calabar Festival draws in thousands of people from all over the world yearly. Don’t forget to try out the popular Calabar Afang soup.
