Hello NL

I know its normal to forget somethings but my case is rather unusual as I forget a lot of present and past happenings around me
Sometime this week( monday exactly), I took from a colleagues office some files for "marking", fastforward to yesterday, my colleague complains about not finding the files in his office where it was suppossed to be returned by me and NOW I can't remember or give answers to:
1. ...If I marked the files in his office or mine?
2. ...If I returned them (I stuck to my claim that I returned them just to get off my neck but I myself cannot remember any of this)
Many other cases also...at the moment I have a problem with my neighbour who is claiming she gave me 20k to do a certain job for her, I know she gave me less than that but I don't know how much anymore( this deal was done 2-3yrs ago)(I try to tell people I can't remember how much exactly it was then but that I knew it wasn't upto 20k but every1 is suprised I can't remember hw much)
The experiences are endless...so much I get friend requests from highschool friends who get embarrassed when I ask who they are ,all cos I can't recall the face.
On numbers...that's the one that scares me the most, I cannot store a certain maybe 6digit number in my head with forgetting a digit or mixing up the numbers even if just "a minute" of seeing the numbers.
My question is ...this is not normal, right?

Well... I wouldn't say!

Some people don't keep certain things for long in their memories!.....

For instance.... I'm not good with keeping names, date and perhaps figures!...

So, I could forget certain things.... But I wouldn't forget most important things... Be it dates, amount or dates....

Try and get a diary! Jot down things! This could be helpful....

Serious examples of memory loss:

A company driver drove hilux to market, parked his company vehicle, finished buying things stopped a taxi and went home not remembering that he came with a vehicle.

A university lecturer went to bank manager with ghana must go bagfull of fresh exam result sheets, forgot bag in bankers office, came back next day to accuse students of theft of answer sheets, sets a new test for over 300 students. Banker returned bag after 2 weeks!

Old Man went out of the house to buy little bread when children have gone to school, he was escorted back to the house by a good samaritan several days later.

Many cases of missing old citizens.

Many cases of TBIs.
