What Next For Sen. Saraki? Road Closed To Supreme Court. by TRUTHTOPOWER: 4:39pm On Oct 19, 2015
The refusal of the Court of Appeal to grant the reliefs sought by Sen Saraki has left the embattled Sen. president in a legal quagmire.

Sen Saraki is praying the Court of Appeal to nullify the criminal proceedings against him at CCT. According to his legal team, CCT lacks jurisdiction to try him based on lack of quorum, absence of AGF and failure of CCB to fulfill certain conditions precedent to trial at CCT.

CCT ruled that it has jurisdiction and it slated 21,22,23 of Oct for Sen Saraki's criminal trial. with the development at the Court of Appeal, and the earlier set back at FHC, the CCT has no legal impediment to proceed against Sen Saraki.

Perhaps the most shocking implication of the decision or lack of decision from the Court of Appeal is that Sen Saraki has nothing to take to Supreme Court. The road to appeal at the apex court is closed for now.

Sen Saraki may have to exhaust the rigorous and humbling trial process at the court of first instance, the CCT.

On his part, the President has assured Nigerians that politicians should not fear him but they should fear the CONSEQUENCE of their own actions.

it was a preemptive strike! They saw nothing, I believe. even the FHC judge cited media as his reason for withdrawal. everyone's career is on the line!

gross ignorance of the law and stupidity on display. If the appeal court ruling is postponed indefinitely, the status quo would be maintained and Saraki would continue to function as the senate president. No matter what the CCT rules,No action would be take until the appeal and supreme courts affirms the ruling
