President Buhari to visit our home cross river state tomorrow; to flag off massive six lane road projects. It comes as a great joy to us, especially that he is an APC president visiting a PDP state, shows that our Governor and President are truly more committed to good governance than politics. With the interest of the people at heart. CROSS River State governor, Prof. Ben Ayade has restated the state’s readiness to host President Muhammadu Buhari, who is visiting to flag off the construction of the 260 kilometres six-lane super highway tomorrow. Speaking during his inspection of ongoing preliminary work at the site of the groundbreaking ceremony, Ayade said: “The president’s visit to Cross River is an epoch one because it represents the fact that he will identify with any state that has a clear vision, irrespective of party or political calculation as much as you do all that fits into his core values.” According to him, the president’s visit is significant in more ways than one. The State Governor, Ben Ayade, made the disclosure to reporters on arrival from Abuja at the Margaret Ekpo International airport in Calabar the Cross River State, South-south Nigeria. Governor Ayade said the state is privileged to have the number one citizen flag off such an important project. He also stressed on the importance of the project to the state that the multi billion naira project would boost the economic status of the state and open up job opportunities for many. The Governor further called on all residents of the state to give the President a resounding welcome, come Tuesday as he comes for the exercise. Continuing, he said: “As he performs the groundbreaking of the 260 kilometres super-highway, we are challenged to ensure its completion so that he can commission it. It is a strong commitment he has given and I am sure Cross Riverians are anxiously waiting to receive him tomorrow. “Our president is long done with politics just as I have, and he is now facing governance and that is why he is the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.” http://www.channelstv.com/2015/10/17/buhari-to-commission-super-highway-in-cross-river/ 2 Likes 1 Share |
