After the current administration was inaugurated – before Pres. Muhammadu Buhari had made any appointments or even moved to Aso Rock which was undergoing renovation – the president held a series of meeting with the then service chiefs. Some confidantes of the President like minister-to-be Abdulrahman Dambazau and Customs Boss Hameed Ali, were present at those two meetings but vice president Yemi Osinbajo wasn’t.

Osinbajo’s absence led to rumours and even blog stories that the President was deliberately sidelining the Vice president for a number of reasons including his religion and the fact that – according to the stories – Osinbajo was loyal to Buhari.

Those stories are harder to come by these days, mainly because of the volume of responsibilities which Buhari now forwards to his vice president. Every now and then reports come all the same, like the famous story about the Osinbajo and El-Rufai clash which the presidency continues to deny to this day, but in all there is less talk about Osinbajo being sidelined and the photos below are part of the reason why.

Osinbajo is now a regular at those meetings which he was not a part of at the beginning. Today he was with the president at a meeting with the service chiefs. The meeting is coming in the wake of the recent suicide attacks in the North East which have led to the loss of scores of lives in recent weeks.

In that case, why not draw some comfort from the 'knowledge' that your wails were heard all the way in Aso Rock cool

Never a dull moment on NL, I tell you.

Who is buhari(hausa in general) without a yoruba man by his side? A government that doesn't have a yoruba man is already a failure. What led to GEJ's failure? What led to the failure of past governments? The Yorubas are born leader and less corrupt. Take it or leave it.

Yeah!... We 'wail' for the advancement of democracy in Nigeria. Even the Presidency listens to us.

We're on the path of greatness and yes we are. I don't blame the wailers though, its a natural response to failure. However, when the wailing is continous, a spiritual approach must be adopted as soon as possible.

That boy boy is your vice president and there is nothing you can do about it. Remind me of your surname again maybe I can look it up on google. Oh yeah, you're unpopular just like your vote. Take the back seat and watch us run your town tonight till 2019

You mean the mere commissioner. ?

I dont see why Osinbajo should seek relevance in government. He should ask Atiku where it landed him.
