For some time now we have heard that most of our leaders are corrupt. Former Rivers State governor at the heat of political battle with the former president had always hyped on how corrupt Jonathan's administration was. In the midst of that, there was an instance where it was quoted that Jonathan said that stealing was not corrruption. Just yesterday Amaechi was asked to explain what corrruption is. Amaechi in his reply said 'corruption is difficult to define'.
In view of this one could infer that corruption has been ubiquitous in our system, because our leaders have not come to term with what corruption is. Or could it be there is no corruption at all and that has been the reason while it is difficult to fathom what it is actually?
Sequel to the above reasoning, I make bold to ask fellow nairalanders-What is corruption?
Answers to this may not just solve a Nigerian problem but may be of help to other African countries as well.
