A major company in Lagos with offices all over Nigeria requires an accountant urgently for their Port Harcourt Office. The successful candidate gets the opportunity to work in an environment where he/she can develop technically and professionally. All applicants must have:

1) At least 3 years experience in an accounting dept
2) Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance
3) ICAN, ACCA, CIMA (or similar) student or qualified
4) professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
5) Advance Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
6) Exposure to one or more financial management and accounting packages
7) Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
Ability to interprete financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
9) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
10) MUST BE RESIDENT IN PORT HARCOURT OR WILLING TO RELOCATE TO PORT HARCOURT

Successful applicants will handle the following amongst other duties.

Monthly variance analysis of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow to plan, current forecast, and prior year
 Project accounting
 Monitoring and developing project accounting financial controls
 Inter-company allocations
 Assist in the creation and enhancement of budget, and forecast models
Expense management and reporting
 Cash management
 Assisting with tax and audit processes
Maintaining the fixed asset log, and purchase order systems
Account reconciliations etc
