How Silverbird Entertainment Rigged "Mother And Daughter Pageant by Alphaoscar: 10:58am On Oct 25, 2015
SHOCKING DETAILS OF HOW SILVERBIRD ENTERTAINMENT RIGGED "MOTHER AND DAUGHTER PAGEANT" IN FAVOUR OF AN INSIDER REVEALED!!!!!

Silverbird Production Initiative came up with a brilliant pageant called "Mother & Daughter Pageant." The rules were simple - after so many activities involving Mother and Daughter, viewers were asked to VOTE for their favorite Mother & Daughter. Contestant with the least votes are eliminated and those with the highest votes progress to the next stage.

After getting to the top ten, the next stage was the top five from which viewers were expected to vote the winner. From the vote count, Mrs Ruby Bengali and her daughter were coasting home to victory on the final day. In a move that was so brazen and in-your-face Silverbird officials miraculously crowned one Mrs Angie Nwangwa and her daughter who have been eliminated eons ago from the competition as winner.

How did this day light robbery happened?

After crossing lot of Ts and dotting the 'I's it became apparent that Silverbird has been running a fraud and a scam beauty pageant where the winner is always known to the panel of judges right from the word go.

One of the rules guiding contest in the spirit of FairPlay is that members of family and workers in any organization that is the organizers are always EXCLUDED/BARRED from participation. This is not the case with Silverbird Mother & Daughter Pageant. Mrs Angie Nwangwa who purportedly won the contest used to be a chaperone for MBGN girls in Silverbird TV. As someone affiliated with Silverbird MBGN, she ought to have been excluded from participating in the contest, in the spirit of FairPlay!

During the auditions she was reportedly heard by a contestant saying, "I’ve seen other people winning pageants, I told silverbird TV this one must not pass me by”. What this means is that she has more than a working relationship with Silverbird!

In the pre pageant camp held in Chaka Resort in September, all contestants were asked to bring their family recipe and draw their family tree. Mrs Angie was the only contestant out of 11 other moms that came to camp with a luggage loaded with food ingredients like packaged oil, crayfish, cooking utensils and even a “maggi star” change of clothes to make her presentation. Someone in Silverbird apparently gave her EXPO!

Prior to the presentation, the Choreographer Mrs. Preye Opoufoni subtly asked other contestants if they had come with some cooking ingredients to demonstrate their recipes. This all smacked of pre knowledge of what Mrs Angie had done and tips were given out a bid to make it look ‘fair’ to others.

Mrs. Angie was the last to present her task and you could see the gusto the crew used to set out the tables for her while other moms watched in shock and aplomb.

Mrs. Angie was also the only contestant to bring an imported family tree while other contestants drew their's on cardboard.

Again, Mrs. Preye in a bid to be seen as being helpful and fair, called other contestants privately asking them to make their presentation more creative; hence people had to start reworking on their tasks until late into the nights…another case of pre knowledge.

There was no surprise therefore when Mrs Angie's entry was the only Family Tree to be photographed by Mrs Agnes Keke the official of Silverbird and of course she went on to win the ‘most innovative award’.

In camp, contestants were asked to create awareness across all social media platforms by Mr. Alozie Uzoukwu, Head of Entertainment, Silverbird Tv. Contestants were told that the more likes they had on their pictures will make their votes count. Mrs. Preeye further added a condition that if people liked a picture without liking the page on facebook, or liked a picture on instagram without following the page, those likes would be invalid. It was therefore strange to see 3,108 likes appear at once on Mrs. Angie’s picture (Contestant 9) and 1064 likes on Mrs. Thelma Ukpai’s photo. Making a total of 4172 which is more than the likes the Mother Daughter Pageant Page has in total…without counting the total likes of the other contestants…hmmmmm. PDP!!!! POWER!!!!! #‎HACKERMOM‬

If you visit Silverbird's page on Facebook and click on the likes and scroll down a bit (the hacker moms were clever to start the list with Nigerian names). Going further down, you will notice that the names of the likers are Indian and Arabians. Some are just plain symbols! Hackers! The "likes" on Mrs. Angie and Mrs. Thelma picture were clearly hacked. They appeared en bloc; they never grew progressively and have stopped growing till date. Did Silverbird conveniently neglect to audit the authenticity of such likes? Did they conveniently neglect the rule of liking the page along the pictures? Are they naïve to internet fraud and hacking?

Same as the instagram page. Mrs. Angie has a total of 3,723 likes and Mrs. Thelma has 1,126 likes a total of 4849 likes while the MDPageant page has only a mere 753 followers! Hmmmm and yet Silverbird turned a blind eye to this heist!

This situation was reported to Mr. Bassey of the IT Department yet nothing was done about it.

• Silverbird announced the start of the voting exercise on the website ‘www.motherdaughterpageant.com/vote” where people were asked to sign in with twitter and vote per hour. This was announced continuously for days and even during the pageant itself. What was the official site for voting? Why ask people to vote on only one platform and neglect to mention the others? Only to base the results on the ones not mentioned? Was it intentional? Was it neglect? Disorganization? Confusion?

As usual again, Silverbird sent text messages to Contestants on the 13th of October, a day to opening of camp in Calabar, saying ‘note that all likes on facebook and instagram would be added to your total votes, keep pushing.” Yea right, just like the way they gave last minute tips to contestants in camp, to look ‘fair’. Obviously a pre knowledge again of their Staff, Mrs. Angie’s votes. Why send that message so late? Was it to give Team Angie a head start?

Online Voting ended with contestant no 4. Having 3065 votes. Contestant no.9 had a mere 277 and Team Mercy who ended up as 2nd runner up had just over 100 and something votes. The question is this…if Contestant 9 had a total of over 6831 likes on instagram and facebook how can she have a negligible amount of votes on the real time online voting? It just doesn’t add up! And to think that Silverbird never used an auditor to authenticate those figures yes even that of contestant number 4 should have been audited! Or is it that silverbird used the voting site to get adverts? No vetting? No authentication? That just reeks of unprofessionalism which a company that has been organizing pageants for years should be ashamed to display.

On the registration site and news communicae put out by silverbird it was said that the votes would be 60% viewers, 30% Judges and 10% live audience. Suddenly during the pageant proper it was announced there would not be judges!!! 100percent of the votes would be from voters. Why? Is that the way pageants are conducted? Is that the way the MBGN is conducted? How does a contestant know the criteria with which she is being judged? The awards of most innovative, most creative, best traditional outfit, mother daughter with the most bond and most photogenic were awarded using what criteria? When did those judging take place? How did they happen?

Those judgments were already predetermined, some looked so much like compensation, so that even if other contestants wore a better traditional outfit on the day of the pageant they would never have won.

Perhaps the most shocking of this fiasco was when the top 5 contestants were announced. Team Alake, Team Udenze, TeamRubyRee, Team Abayomi and Team Themercy in no particular order. Never for once was TeamAngieGift mentioned. They went on a commercial break (after there was a disagreement between the MC, Vicky and Chris whether to go on one or not. Hmmm)

Reports has it that the entire crew members of Silverbird ( Mrs Augusta Ufford –Coordinator of the pageant, Alozie Uzoukwu- Head of Entertainment, Preere Opoufoni-Choreographer, Juliette Hagerman-Catwalk Coach and a host of others including the director of the production, and both MC’s) began to argue vehemently. Clearly, there was a divide in their camp…some were for the manipulation especially Mrs. Augusta who was most vehement and some were totally against it but had their wills bent as is normal with the Nigerian society where no one speaks up because of the fear of “oga@the top) lots of raised voices and hushed tones, fierce whispering and even unshed tears.

Team Udenze was called away from the stage for unknown reasons and then the commercial break ended. Only for a new twist to be announced that another finalist would be added to the top 5!!!!

Guy Murray Bruce, Vice President of Silverbird Tv announced the results… “I will be announcing 3 results and 2 will be pending’ he said. Hmmm why?

Why were 2 results pending? He announced 2nd runner up-Team Mercy (someone who also hacked the likes on facebook and Instagram)

Team Alake-1st runner up and the winner, drum roll….Team9! 277 online votes, 6831 hacked/bought votes with fictitious accounts, a staff of silverbird, who had not been in the top 5 earlier announced, became winner of the mother daughter pageant.

The audience gasped in shock. Well Of course Angie felt ‘great’ and her daughter felt ‘awesome’ while a child crumbled into a heap of tears behind them clearly robbed. If the winner’s votes were as high as shown in a fictitious bar chart posted on screen when the credits came on, why was not Team 9 included in the 1st 5 announcement?

• Lastly, if Team Angie was declared winner with 7172 (which are not legit) Team Alake is 1st runner up with 2204 votes and Team mercy was declared 2nd runner up with 2432 votes…Team RubyRee has 3996 votes…what is her position? Nothing was ever mentioned.

They were just swept under the carpet like they didn’t exist. They were awarded ‘best bond’ which is the essence of the pageant yet were not crowned. Their votes, their effort not acknowledged. Just washed down the injustice drain.

Silverbird was so engrossed in cheating they neglected (as usual) to make it even intelligent. What are the sources of the 2 conflicting results announced? Who collated those results? All that the MC had was a piece of paper with scribbled figures and lots of cancellations. The accountant that was asked to come out to present the results was just acting.

Silverbird owes the Nigerian audience and voters a huge apology. They owe Team RubyRee Contestant no.4 a huge apology for the robbery, injustice and the trauma it must have caused to her child. They should carry out a thorough investigation and disqualify Team Angiegift for a hacker cannot be crowned as winner after cheating. A queen and a mom for that matter are supposed to be a shining example and an inspiration to other moms and kids. Silverbird who claims to be celebrating the love and bonds between mother and child should shun corruption and stick to their ideals. Fraudulent pageant winners have been dethroned in the past. Why not now?
