Following the pronouncement by the election petition's tribunal sitting in Asaba, which upheld the victory of the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in the April gubernatorial elections, the Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Youth and Community Development, Hon. Egbo Victor Okemena has described the judgement as reassuring.

The governor's Aide commended the audacious Judges and Lawyers for maintaining the highest level of decorum, integrity and excellent professionalism despite threats and baseless propaganda aimed at distracting them. It's heartening and reassuring that we still have people in this country who are committed to upholding the integrity and credibility of the judiciary rather than sell their conscience and pervert justice', Egbo continued.

The visibly elated Egbo who hosted his friends and supporters to a spontaneous but elaborate celebration in his residence in Ughelli, further described Okowa's victory as the evidence that God had predestined him to lead Delta State to the next level of development, greatness and prosperity.

He assured the jubilant crowd that Okowa is committed and better positioned now to start rolling out his developmental agenda for the good people of Delta State, especially now that the unnecessary distraction occasioned by the petitions at the tribunal is over.
