AMAECHI: A RISK NOT WORTH TAKING

It will be highly disastrous for anyone to buy into Rotimi Amaechi idea at this moment. Truly, it was a disgraceful show for him as a Director of APC Presidential Campaign in the last general election to lose at home twice. However, his back-door approach to redeem his political loss ego before his paymaster will only fall flat.

Just to set the record straight, Amaechi exit from PDP has never be for the sake of people of Rivers State. His migration was based on self aggrandisement and political elevation. It was when his ambition to be Vice-President under PDP was dimmed by Goodluck Jonathan who ran for another term.

Amaechi traded with N50billion bonds he took on behalf of his State after being promised Vice President slot. Not only did treasury of Rivers State was drained to nil governance also stood still for since Amaechi found new love in APC. Surprisingly, he claimed saving N1billion monthly but boasted to leave empty treasury after 8years.

Truly, in politics, stupidity is not a handicap according to Napoleon Bonaparte. If not Amaechi would not have been singing upland/coastland dichotomy when he was once a beneficiary of its non-existence.

Parts of his misgovernance were locked down of judiciary and legislative arms, abandoned monorail and other projects with contractors and civil servant entitlements remained unpaid. All these can be attributed to gap created by Amaechi while spearheading APC Presidential campaign train even to outside the shore of Nigeria.

If N50billion only earned Rivers just a Ministerial seat then Amaechi's stock is not worth buying.

It is on this note we are calling on all good people of Rivers State to make the right choice. As for Amaechi and APC that are using Federal might through Judiciary and Security apparatus to subvert the will of the masses at will, time will soon tell.

Also, let us remind Amaechi and his co-travellers that we are in democracy not militocracy they are foisting on us.
