Our client, a leading independent securities firm in Nigeria and a leading provider of research content on the Nigerian market as well as a leading adviser to blue chip corporations across West Africa on M&A and international capital market transactions is looking to hire someone to Head their Research Department. Our Client prides itself as being experts in investment banking, securities trading, asset management and investment research and requires a young and dynamic individual for this role.

Job Summary
• Produce the fundamental research and analysis of industries, companies and economies, which drive commercial business for the firm
• Develop relationships with investing clients and help them achieve superior returns through industry insights and investment ideas
Responsibilities• Manage the Research team to ensure delivery of optimum results
• Formulate macroeconomic forecasts for economic activity
• Formulate equity market forecasts and provide opinions on both asset and industry sector allocation
• Produce routine industry/sector reports
Education and Experience
• Degree in sciences, statistics, accounting, mathematics, Economics etc.
• CFA qualification an added advantage
• MBA an added advantage
• 6 – 8 years Financial Research experience, at least 1 year in a managerial position in this field.
• Experience as an Economist will be an added advantage
