The traditional ruler of Gwandu in Kebbi State, Emir Muhammad Bashir Iliyasu, is dead. Alhaji Iliyasu, replaced the former Emir, Alhaji Al-Mustapha Muhammadu Jokolo, who is still seeking a reinstatement at the state high court after he was deposed by the governor on June 3, 2005.
