When new posts are made on a WordPress blog, the essence is to have it available to an audience who read regularly. Fortunately, this is possible in WordPress using the Post Notification Plugin. In this article, you will be shown how to get this done.

The following steps takes you through how you can automatically notify your users about your new posts.

Step 1. Install the Post Notification by Email plugin

From your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.
Search for "Post Notification by Email".
Install and activate the plugin.

Step 2. Configure Your Post Notification by Email Plugin

Find "Post Notification by Email" in the left menu and click "Settings"

Enter the Sent to emails: You can add any email addresses here, make sure they are separated by commas. This option is good if someone isn't registered on the site.
Send to users: The user group that will receive the emails. On windows, the ctrl + click will alow you select multiple users and you can use the command + click on a Mac to also select multiple user group.

Next, you need to customize the email subject and body. It is not mandatory but quite necessary.

The placeholders get replaced by the content that they represent. So if your post's title is "We've redesigned the site!", it will replace {title} in the email.

Finally, you can set up some conditions.

For example, if you'd only like users to get emails about your blog posts, remove "Pages" from the Post Types.

If you don't want users to get emails about every post, then use a unique tag for the Posts you want to be emailed.

Now, you will have to save your settings. Please note that once your post is saved, it automatically emails your users. That means you will have to read your post carefully to be sure they are free of errors and do not contain texts and comments not meant for the external public.
