I am one of the few people that cannot use their hard earned 70k to buy Tecno Phantom 5.

When I told my friend that I can’t blow 70k on the device, he said that I should stop hating but truth is, there’s nothing to hate there.

I can’t spend that amount for the phone when there’re many decent alternatives out there.

So here is the list of the phones I would rather buy instead of Tecno Phantom 5.

Please note that the phones in this list are all made in China, features fingerprint scanner, features at least a 13mp/5mp camera, 3000mah battery or more, Android lollipop, 3gb ram or more and uses mediatek chipset with dual sim functionality

1. Elephone Vowney: Elephone “Vowney” dual-boot Android and Windows 10 on quite a capable hardware platform but the one in our list is the one that is running android os.

The phone features a 5.5-inch QHD (2k)display with 2560*1440 resolution, Screen PPI up to 534, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage and also a fingerprint sensor on the back below Sony IMX 230 20.7M HD Back Camera. There is a 8.0MP Front Camera, Support NFC.

Powering the phone is 64bit MTK6795 Octa Core and the onboard storage can be expanded up to 128GB via TF card

A massive 4000mah battery with 5V quick-charge will keep all these running

2. UMI Iron Pro: The UMI Iron Pro is a new phone from the Chinese phone maker that comes with premium features and build.

The phone was launched with a metal frame and a good number of security features.

Covering the front of the phone is 5.5 inches screen, the phone also features a fingerprint reader (works in just 0.32s) on its back and Eyeprint ID, a sensor that uses the unique veins in your eyes for authentication.

The body is a carved single piece of aircraft-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy and measures 7.9mm thick and weighs 148g.

The UMI Iron Pro is a dual-SIM phone with 150Mbps LTE connectivity. One of the sim slot serves as a slot for memory expansion via micro SD.

Powering the phone is a MediaTek MT6753 chipset (octa Cortex-A53 at 1.3GHz, Mali-T720 GPU) with a generous 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

There’s a catch here, the UMI Rootjoy lets you choose between a number of ROMs, including CyanogenMod, MIUI 6, Yun OS and others

3. LeTV Le 1s: LeTV Le 1s is beautiful phone with premium build and features. The whole body of the device is made from metal, and the large 5.5-inch, 1080p screen is almost bezel-less.

A MediaTek Helio X10 Turbo processor running at 2.2GHz, and with 3GB of RAM powers the device and it also features A USB Type-C connector with fast-charge technology, 32GB of RAM, and dual 4G SIM support, and a big 3000mAh battery.

There’s a fingerprint sensor at the rear of the phone, which also acts as a shutter release for the camera, a 13 megapixels and a fast 0.09 second autofocus speed.
A 5MP front-facing camera sits at the top front of the phone. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop that is based on the company’s eUI 5.5. The phone comes with an IR Blaster and a pre-installed Remote Control app.

The device is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB), a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) LTPS display, and a more than solid 13-megapixel camera sensor.
The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core SoC clocked at 1.7GHz with Mali T760 MP3 GPU running at 700MHz.

There is 5-megapixel front-facing shooter (OmniVision’s OV5648 sensor), 3,050mAh battery, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, Dual SIM, dual standby (MicroSIM Standard SIM) and 4G LTE support.

5. Bluboo XTouch: Bluboo XTouch features a 5-inch screen with 2.5D glass (the back panel uses 3.0D curved glass) carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution with a pixel density of 441.

Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6753, featuring an octa-core CPU. 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM is inside along with 32GB of expandable native storage.

The 13MP rear-facing camera employs Sony’s IMX214 sensor, and the 8MP front-facing snapper shoots selfies and handles video chats.

The company embedded a fingerprint scanner in the home button, and a 3050mAh battery keeps the lights on. Android 5.1 is pre-installed.

The phone runs on Android 5.1 OS out of the box. There’s 3GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM and a 4165mAh battery.

A 13mp Samsung camera sits on the back and below it is a fingerprint scanner for security.
There’s also a 5mp selfie cam and quick charge technology.
Price of Elephone P8000 is $170 about N34k

I know that Tecno Phantom 5 is beautiful and well designed phone that can handle anything you throw at it in terms of heavy apps and videos nut 70k?

Nah, I will rather pick one of these Tecno Phantom 5 alternatives and use the change for something else.

With 70k, one can pick any of these phones and still have some change for subscription and and other things.

And don't be surprised to see that some of them will beat Phantom 5 in performance.

it seems every year the ram and spec is increasing but the price is not increasing. this show people are been ripped off for buying the latest. reminds me of my friend who bought Samsung plasma TV for 200k the year 2008. right now you can even get better spec with 70k.

but wait a minute, so this people want us to be buying phones every now and then. not me.

I am not working in apex Bank. if people will buy then I am slowly behind buying from people after it has lost market value for a cheaper price. I am not bag wagon fellow. I might buy when the latest. get to 20gb ram.
