Chairman, Cross River State Infrastructure Company Ltd, (INFRACROSS), High Chief Lihwu Eugene Akeh, pointed out that there was need to bring quality control engineers on site because the state needs endorsement of their signatures to be sure of quality of roads to be delivered. He stressed that with the engagement of the expatriates, the state will now deliver on road of its dream, constructed in compliance with global standards to stand the test of time. Also speaking, the Special Assistant to the Governor, Technical, Mr. Eric Akpo, who reiterated that work on the superhighway is currently ongoing, maintained that the Governor wants to ensure that all his projects are delivered according to international standards without compromise at any point, no matter how challenging the terrain will be. I then give my support to Ayade. The problem with Nigeria is the failure of most of these roads barely few days into their lifespan. I recall the collapse of the national stadium in abuja constructed by Julius Berger in less then 3months after completion. |
