This is wonderful news for many of us that are familiar with top Chinese brands. Xiaomi, one of the top dogs is set to enter the African market this month, November. This is coming after apparently ignoring it for a long time for smaller firms like Tecno, Infinix and Gionee to gain a strong foothold in the market. Seems Xiaomi will have a lot of catching up to do despite the fact that they have great products that have been competing with the big boys like Samsung, LG, Sony etc, in other markets.

They plan launching with the Redmi 2 and Mi 4 with a price tag of $160 and $320 respectively. Hope they naira equivalent would be reasonable at the end of the day.

You can read more about it from here.
