Kogi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Hadi Ametuo, has
assured Kogi people that his party’s candidate in the
forthcoming governorship poll, Prince Audu Abubakar,
would return the over N11 billion he allegedly stole
while in office.
Audu is being prosecuted by the anti-graft agency, EFCC,
for misappropriating N11 billion of the states’s funds
while he was governor between 1999 and 2003.
Responding to the questions from the media regarding
Audu’s 11billion naira EFCC case, he said “Nobody is a
saint. No governor can claim he has not done any
malpractice or stolen anything during his time in the
office.
“We heard of Saraki’s case, even Tinubu is being
accused of stealing funds but the truth is that Prince
Abubakar Audu has pledged to return the money to the
Kogi treasury when he gets elected on the November
21st, yes he will return the 11billion naira or even more
than that and that will add to the Kogi economy”.
Ametuo, who rated Audu’s first term in the office more
than the current government of Capt. Idris Wada, added
that Audu deserved the electoral votes of the Kogi
people due to his experience and achievements in his
first time at the Lugard House.

Honestly I won't blame all these politicians for taking Nigerians to be phools. Why not return the money then we decide whether to vote him in or not? And why make him a candidate when it's obvious he stolen and why is he not in jail? So many questions without answers.

Wada is too lucky to get this man (Audu) as an opponent. Unless they do it in OBJ way, Wada is waiting for his reelection confirmation.

Our no-nonsense, anti-corruption champion president will not see this one to arrest since he has accepted to have stolen N11b instead he is directing EFCC against ex-ministers and ex-governors in the opposition party. The progressive as they call themselves were not even ashamed to associate with a known thief instead they were bold to campaign for him with the stolen money as one of their agenda. Soon they will remote control the guy and steal the state blue black leaving the state in debt like most Apc controlled state if he is elected. If he tries to object, the case of saraki will repeat itself, with Efcc as their tool. Blind support from their massive zombies is what is giving these people such boldness.

If this statement is actually truth, then it is a big big shame to the country of Nigeria... so that means that he accepted to have stolen billions from millions of the citizens and the unborn children of his state and instead of rotting in jail and ceasing of all his properties acquired with the money and returning the money he stole he still has the impetus to be campaigning for another term in office and using the money the same him stole as an election promise to his people? What a country and what a shame... Sanity is gone in Nigeria
