APC Hails Inko-tariah’s Courage In “dumping Wike’s Sinking Ship” by kahal29: 9:49pm On Nov 06, 2015
The All Progressives Congress APC in Rivers State has described the resignation of the Special Adviser to Governor Nyesom Wike on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah as a sign that the Wike-led government is crumbling.

Opunabo Inko-Tariah in a copy of his resignation letter made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt thanked Governor Wike for giving him the opportunity to serve in his government.

The statement noted that his office was starved of fund throughout the five months he operated as media aide to the Governor.

Opunabo Inko-Tariah also said all professional advice given to the Governor was not acted on.

A statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Chris Finebone said the party welcomes what it described as Inko-Tariah’s uncommon courage to resign as the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Wike.

The APC also said it is not surprising that Governor Wike will not listen to professional advice and will neglect those who work with him as given by Opunabo Inko-Tariah as part of reasons for his resignation.

Finebone accused Governor Nyesom Wike of seizing allocations of the local government councils which has resulted to non-payment of council workers across the State.

The party said the Governor alleged refusal to constitute a cabinet is to enable him to be the initiator and executor of all projects in the State.

The statement reads, “The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, welcomes the uncommon courage displayed by Mr. Opunabo Inko-Tariah in resigning as the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the embattled governor of Rivers State this morning.

“As a party, the APC knew that it was only a matter of time before all well-meaning proud sons and daughters of Rivers State who find themselves in Wike’s sinking ship jumped to safety.

“This is not only because his governorship will soon become history, but because the malevolently unique style of Wike whose hallmark behaviour hinges on divide-and-rule exasperates decent minds.

“We are not surprised that the former SA, Media & Publicity is telling sordid stories of neglect and disrespect for his views and advice by the outgoing governor. These are all well-known character pattern of Nyesom Wike.

“The APC would like to urge all other well-meaning sons and daughters of our dear state who have found themselves, one way or the other, in Wike’s makeshift government to resign and leave immediately.

“At the risk of repeating ourselves, the APC would like to state that Nyesom Wike never planned to govern Rivers State; he simply came to do what he is doing now – loot Rivers State commonwealth for himself.

“He has seized allocations of the Local Government Councils resulting in non-payment of council workers across the state. He has refused to constitute a cabinet, creating room for him to the Commissioner for Works, Project Inspector, Due Process Office and everything rolled into one just to put away the peoples’ money under his pillow and disburse as he likes.

“The APC is in no doubt that many more of our people will soon see the light and take the part of honour just like Opunabo Inko-Tariah has done.”

Very serious issue with Wike. I perceive everything Opunabo Inko-Tariah said is true. Wike already know things have turned the other way round.

Then Peterside should just declare himself lord conqueror of Rivers state and start ruling. The fools at APC will never learn. You will accept anyone into your stup1d party, just because you are so desperate for power. In BAYELSA Timi ALAIBE after failing to buy the candidature of the APC, has now retraced his steps and has in cohorts with the PDP, almost killed Silva's ambition. You complain of Saraki and Atiku, from day to day. But yet once any member of the PDP gives you the greenlight, you jump at the offer. I pity the APC, for it is a desperate party DOA.

I want to believe that the guy did not resign, but was sacked by wike to save his face and impress the judiciary.
Again, if you read his resignation letter, you'd think he did that on his own.
Which ever way, everything is to apc gain right now.

My argument or contributions to political issues is not based on party lines. I support issues on nation building and am against those who are trying to pull Nigeria down by all means, be it corruption etc. Am not talking PDP and APC here.

If indeed the contents of Mr. Tariah's resignation letter are really true then it doesn't spell good for the rivers people under the leadership of Gov. Wike. I honestly don't believe Dakuku would behave like that.

My brother Tonyebarcanista what do you think of it?

That was exactly how APC hailed all known criminals ranging from Amaechi, Saraki, Kwankwaso, Timi Alaibe, Timipreye Sylva etc into their group of looters and propagandists

You guys are just deceiving yourselves. Dakuku Peterside will not be governor anytime soon. No amount of propaganda can change this fact. Toriah was FIRED for reasons known to Gov Wike. The wash story of resignation defies sense. Good morning

Bro I'm not an APC sympathizer... I'm fully with the PDP and Gov. Wike. But what I'm concerned about is if the content is the letter is true and why Wike will deal so sternly with his aide.

Bros, the content of the letter is fraudulent. When did he regin? Was it when it was leaked to him that he'll be fired for gross-misconduct? Why did he leak the letter to the press if not to disparage Wike? Why is APC rojoicing over the Resignation and not the sack? When did these set of APC in rivers realise that Wike has bad leadership style when they worked with him as LG Boss, Chief of Staff(4years)?

Forget Toriah matter jare.

Rivers APC accuses Wike of being a sole dictator because he hasn't appointed cabinet his members. PMB is doing the same at the federal level but we havnt heard them complain o. Instead they keep making up excuses for him. Mtcheeew. This government of negative and positive changes sef.
