Today I want to share a knowledge that some aspirants and parents are not aware of in our modern university system.
The university system of today differs from the system of yesterday.
Yesterday was based on merit and today is based of merit, manipulation and formality
Many candidates that deserve to be admitted have been rejected and left without any meaningful alternative rather than reapplying for Jamb over and over.

The believe of some parent and student about gaining admission is mainly focused on High score, meeting cut off mark, score above average and performing exceptionally.
although this culture is still maintained in some university but few schools hold this said culture with absolute respect.
Things are getting ugly, the increasing demand for admission brings too many disadvantage and ugly incidence into the system.
The admission capacity and strength is walking too slow and the demand for certificate is walking faster.

THE FACT ABOUT ADMISSION


Admission slot sharing : there are many university now that give each lecturer 2 or more slot to bring in any candidate provided the candidate score upto the minimum score.
We can assume that each lecturer in the whole school will being 2 candidate each.
And not to forget some top non teaching staff will also be entitled to 1 slot each.
As a result of this there will be little space to admit candidate that are truly qualified.
However candidate that score very high will be consider for admission and some candidate that perform above average will be transferred to department that is in need of student.
The only group of people that will get their course are candidate that score very high, or candidate that choose a less competitive course and the rest will be hijack by the school staff.


This is happening right now and it will continue to happen.
Don't blame yourself if you are not offered admission this after meeting necessary requirement.
