The Nigerians are Going to Receive the Golden Eaglets today Wednesday November 10th 2015 from Chile after their triumph at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

The Golden Eaglets, who are the competition’s most successful team with the best Goal Scorrer , beat Mali 2-0 in the final on Sunday to lift the trophy for the fifth time. Nigeria had previously won the tournament in 1985, 1993, 2007 and 2013, and that's another great Victory again in 2015 , during the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Chile 2015 final was the second time the Eaglets will play an all-Africa final at the Under-17 level. The first was a 2-1 victory over Ghana in 1993.

Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen, won the tournament’s Golden Shoe after scoring 10 goals in seven matches. He also became the highest goalscorer in the history of the tournament, erasing past efforts by France’s Sinama Pongolle and Ivory Coast’s Souleymane Coulibaly in 2001 and 2011 respectively. Osimhen also won the competition’s Silver Ball, and that merited to be listed in the Guiness world Record.

Nigerian Captain Kelechi Nwakali won the Golden Ball and Bronze Shoe after scoring four goals and creating three assists in Chile.

Nwakali lifted the trophy on Sunday to make the Eaglets the second team ever to successfully defend their title, which they won in 2013. Brazil were the first to do so after winning in 1997 and 1999.
