So now that he's in captive, is there no transmission goin on?

ATLEAST you are still transmitting as someone else is in charge.

He can be travelling from Nigeria and not Britain. I don't think he has any excuse NOT relocating.....

Lol! The aim of those demands was to expose the hypocrisy of the Arewa-Oduanistans that shout one Nigeria, and to show that their love for one Nigeria is not based on patriotism or love for fellow countrymen, but on selfish, greedy and malicious agenda.
And also to expose the folly of Igbos who would join these Arewa-Oduanistans to shout one Nigeria.

I am a Student of history, I had no impression that Arewa-Oduanistans would concede to those demands, why should they? They'd rather secede from one Nigeria than concede those demands, they are into one Nigeria for those Particular gains, and the moment the gains are not there, one Nigeria would lose its attraction for them.

On your last point, I beg to differ. Was it a sign of weakness when Croatians decided they no longer want to share a nation with Serbians, was it a sign of weakness when Singapore decided she nolonger want to share a nation with Malaysians? How about Bangladesh and Pakistan?

Truth is that strange bed fellows are not meant to sleep together. Efforts wasted in playing cat and mouse game with hostile nations of Arewa-Oduanistan while struggling for the soul of a third world country like Nigeria, if well channeled by Biafrans, can be used to build a prosperous Biafran nation that can stand a chance of transiting from third world to first world country in a space of 70 - 100 years max.

I get your point.
But you also missed my point.
Lemme show you how.
The people in a position to effect a division of Nigeria easily are the Hausa/Fulani.
The British effectively made them the house masters of Nigeria.
The people who have the ears of 10 Downing street, Washington and UN… have been in power since independence.
You need to both appreciate amd respect that fact...no need to beef.
The people who have benefited most from the Federation are the Yorubas… with Lagos being the capital for many years, Apapa ports, international airport, economic capital of the country for so many years. It is what it is.
And ofcourse, even the lifeblood of the country was shifted from the eastern region to the SS states. SE oil producing regions were even carved out! To tell you how much of an observer you are.
An appreciation of the above current facts...only means you have to ally and build bridges.
You cannot afford to stand alone without allies to actualize MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL goals.
No one appears to support this rowdy movement. Why should they?
You expect corrupt politicians and thieving military officers to render their naira loots useless over night because of 'freedom' and 'fairness'? Go to Gwarimpa, Lokogoma, Maitama, Lekki, Mowe, Kano and see what investments your brothers have. Then think again.
This so called movement will be sabotaged from within and without.
Tell your leaders to strategize, build bridges and work out MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL goals with one or two of the power brokers. Its the intelligent thing to do. Its a game.

It has got nothing to do with leadership in the Igbo land but the policy of the central government of zoo called Nigeria since after the civil war. I urge Federal government of Nigeria to give Igbo land the a city such as Lagos or Abuja and watch what will happen.
If only you had good leaders (governors, senators, house of reps members and house of assembly members, etc) who have the masses at heart, they should be the ones to advocate on your behalves for a city.

Igbos already loved themselves enough to unite as one country in the first Republic of Biafra, and this was despite a war situation. If they could do this once, they will do it again.

Yes they united then, under a passionate leader who felt their pain. Who will unite them now. Certainly not kanu who doesn't reside in Nigeria

Let them continue, by the time it happens and they could not move forward, i think there case will be to trek to cameroon and become a refugee and start hawking Doughnut. Then it would be had i know...Most of them did stay to develop there villages, and they want to move out of nigeria to start from the scratch, or do they think we will allow them to stay here as a foreigner while trying to develop their Biafra, you will all be deported, then, most of you will go home with nothing or less of your worth and the suffering continues

After all you write up, you do not have the brain to understand the obvious, even after 55 years of disastrous nationhood. You will never have good Governance under Nigeria. Only you can give your self good Governance and that is why you should aspire to your own country. With what you know about Nigerias history, why do you still believe in this British contraption called Nigeria that had never worked? You need another 55 years of no light, no water, no good roads and bad Governance before you realise that Nigeria should be broken up into smaller units so it can work rather than one big unit that is a faliure?

Even if they are eventually let go, Thiers would be no different from north Korea, South Sudan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Slovakia etc they all broke out from a state to form their own country. Are they doing well? Heck no! instead they are ruled by ruthless dictators. That's the same thing that will befall biafra. the youths are being used as puppets in the hands of their masters. If you don't know countries like UK and the USA have benefitted from integration, that's a topic for another time. Just know that as for now biafra is a selfish man's goal, don't become his puppet.

When Biafra is created, Governance will closer to home. There will no states, just provinces or local Governments and their will be full resource control and fiscal policy. The reason Biafra will work is that it will not be run on the Nigerian unitary system. In Biafra, your local Government will control its resources. My local Government chairman cannot steal from my own community, where will he run to? But in this Nigerian system, anybody can steal and if utter a word, his Hausa police orderly can deal with you. Biafra will be a success story.

ONE NIGERIA FOR HAUSA/FULANI YORUBA, ONE NIGERIAN FOR

Great Biafrans,
My Hausa friend asked me: Under what conditions would you start
believing that One Nigeria is working?
Here was my response:
1. Close down Lagos ports and Open up PH,
Calabar, Onitsha and Warri.
2. Cancel all direct and major connecting flights to Lagos and Abuja
airports...only local or minimal connecting flights will be allowed. While
this is being done, open up Enugu, Owerri, Asaba, Uyo and PH to
international flights...direct and major connecting flights.
3. Ask all international and diplomatic missions to move their
embassies and consulates from Lagos and Abuja to Enugu, PH and
Calabar.
4. All federal governments agencies in Lagos and Abuja shall be
relocated to Enugu, PH and Calabar. CBN, NNPC,e.t.c shall and must
relocate to PH, Calabar and Enugu.
6. If these conditions can be fulfilled and implemented, we can try one
Nigeria and let's see if you Hausas and Yorubas will like it for a month.
Meaning, Yorubas and Hausas needing to get visas shall travel to PH,
Calabar or Enugu to do that. Same with flying or connecting flights,
same with shipping and importing their goods, e.t.c.
The Hausa friend replied: You can't be serious, this is wickedness!
I said, "Really? Don't you think the South-East and South-South have
been suffering and enduring this
very same wickedness for over 50 yrs? Why do you think people are
clamouring for Biafra?"
He was quiet for a few seconds and said: Wow! You are right, but it
never occurred to me.
I said, "that's the problem with One Nigeria, those who are benefiting
love it and would love to maintain the status quo".
An adage in my place says, "The one who ate fleshy meat forgets
easily; but the one who eats the bone never forgets"
this is divine wisdom ,yak Abasi udiong , may God bless u, fed. Govt should also develop a city here in the east like lagos & abuja that was developed overnight with our oil money .....no sane being created by God in the s/east & s/south will believe in one nigeria except some polithifians like rochas okorausa & amaethief ,i hate nigeria with passion., #VisitAkwaibom

IPOB is a cult and should be dealt with by the government.

What we need in Igboland is good governance that's all, not Biafra.

These eediots shouting Biafra everywhere cannot tell you categorically and mathematically how and what this Biafra would look like and how it would run.

How would they provide jobs for the massive army of unemployed Igbo youths if Biafra is declared today?

How will they pay salaries?

How will they provide power, good water and all that assuming Biafra starts today?

Who is their foreign ally? They are busy cursing Britain and others!

Who are your local allies? Everybody should get lost, Biafra can survive, we can do it!

These IPOB people are very daft animals I tell you.
u ppl dat bliv in meeting d nigerian/igbo political leaders for abolishing segregation/marginalisation, rapid development n transformation of south east/igbo land should be doing dat action wise, while d ppl dat bliv in biafra should go on as wel, any 1 of d 2 dat gives a fast, solid and long lasting result should be d solution. We dnt need to put our eggs in one basket.
But to be honest wit u, many biafrans are tired n fed up wit Nigeria, jst as many nigerian were tired of PDP and dey went for APC/ change. We need to taste 2 different wives/girlfrnds to choose which 1 is better.
Cheers!

i love it when people take time to make analysis of pressing matters. but i stand with a big NO on your submissions with the following, noting this facts- BIAFRA is not an IGBO but all BIAFRANS affairs and should be seen in that light. 1.though we need leaders(not necessarily politicians),the change in nationhood should be from the voices of the suffering masses not those you are thinking who will still be ready to sell us out driving only their selfish interest even in decades ahead. 2.many countries had done it in the past and succeeded even when those challenges were there. BIAFRA will succeed too. 3.because we have been in continous lack in nigeria, we make a change especting a better outcome. 4.where does the federal govt get the money they allocate to the states and others in the kind of govt system obtainable in nigeria? 5.pls open your eyes, even in nigeria of tomorrow, your vote will still work nothing. it is still british framework we are seeing.still believe in alternative...BIAFRA!!

But strangely, Igbos have always been an integral part of this 55 years of disastrous nationhood both at the federal level and especially at the state levels?... If these set of people in leadership could be disastrous when they answered Nigeria, what sort of fairy tale miracle will make them saints simply because they change name?... No doubt Nigeria is a british contraption, but you will agree with me that Igbos have also contributed a great deal to the dysfunctionality of this contraption called Nigeria....

Let us forget the federal and focus on the state levels, never has it been heard of since 1960 till date that federal allocations were not paid to Igbo states. So my brother, what did Igbo leaders do with the moneys?... If we had problems managing moneys at the local level, how then would changing of name make us any better?... Why can't these agitations be made against local Igbo leaders i.e. state governors, LGA chairmen, councillors, Senators, Reps and traditional rulers?... Why cant these street agitations be made to force the implementation of the national conference report?

Agitating to force the implementation of the conference report is a cause which both the SS and the SW and most parts of the NC would gladly support and join and in no time, we would be very close to achieving regionalism.
Truly you make a better point at layer stages of your comments than the beginning point why because the rots starts from the center down to the states not just SE alone.Ndigbo has paid a heavy price more than any ethnic group in this contraption called Nigeria so Biafra is unending agitation as things stand today & can be achieved with more & better coordination, since independence & the civil war that ended the country has remain dysfuntional till date Though your point for them to agitating for full implementation of National Conference Report is not bad to say the least becuase it will Attract more wider appeal but what is the guarantee that it will not be compromised?

Putting secession vs implementation of conference report, I can assure you that the latter is more achievable. But guess what, there has never been a serious agitation for it since the 60's. The surest way to fail is not to try at all. But we keep on jumping to to secession without attempting regional autonomy.

OK let's see how it goes with your idea which for me is a workable solution though you & I know that Hausa Fulani's doesn't want to see anything called True Fiscal Federalism or Regional System that will enthrone meritocracy , eqauty & justice Rather they will throw everything to it to make it fail so with this in mind Ndigbo youths chose Biafra even when its obvious they are going about it the wrong way.But truly Nigeria is doomed.
