What a never ending saga.

_________

Leaders of Igbo socio-political bodies,Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and Njiko Igbo, another prominent pan-Igbo association, described the portfolios assigned to Igbo ministers as ‘disappointing.’

Speaking with one of our correspondents on the telephone, President of Ohanaeze Youth Wing, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, who spoke on behalf of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, said Ogbonnaya Onu and Chris Ngige deserved ‘more influential’ ministries than Science and Technology, and Labour and Productivity, respectively.

Isiguzoro said, “We are disappointed that somebody of the calibre of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu was assigned to Science and Technology ministry, even Dr. Chris Ngige should have been appointed as the Health Minister instead of Labour and Productivity.

“Okechukwu Enalama should have been appointed Minister of Finance.

Igbo ministers did not get juicy portfolios, except perhaps Ibe Kachikwu and Rotimi Amaechi, who are our brothers from the South-South.

“We are not happy that we did not get the juicy portfolios, although we are happy that our brothers from the Niger Delta got.

“Nevertheless, the era of impunity has gone and we expect all the Igbo ministers to perform excellently.

“We expect them to close ranks and work towards developing Igboland.”

Also, President of Njiko Igbo, Reverend Okechukwu Obioha, said Buhari relegated Igbo ministers to the background in his cabinet.

But he admitted that the association was not surprised.

He said, “They are adding more salt to the injury, we expected that. We can see that we (Igbo) are not wanted in this country. At the moment, the sharing of the national cake is between the North and the South-West.

“What will Ngige be doing as Labour and Productivity minister when the Federal Government is not employing anyone, or creating jobs?

“Even the Foreign Affairs portfolio that was given to an Igboman (Geoffrey Onyeama) is of no consequence because already Buhari has travelled to most of the countries and he will continue to do so.

“He has travelled in six months more than the immediate past president travelled in six years.

“So the Foreign Affairs minister will just be a rubber stamp.

“Buhari has taken the Ministry of Petroleum Resources for himself, making an Igboman the Minister of State.

“So, he (Buhari) has virtually given the Igbo nothing.

“But the problem is this will lead to more agitation for Biafra,” Obioha said.

Those idiot. .ts should close their mouth.

Under GEJ administration Igbos had chief of army staff, Aviation minister, Health minister, Finance minister-coordinating minister of the economy, Secretary to federal government, and many more juicy appointments yet no federal bridge, no dredged seaport, substandard Enugu international airport, terrible federal roads, yet they didn't call all our sons and daughters in the federal executive council to man up and developed the SE.

For all I care, juicy appointments are only for the benefit of the appointed because those ministers won't do shiit to better the living condition of those in SE. Greedy Igbo leaders using tribalism to get appointment.

Buhari can as well take away all the newly appointed ministers from the SE and just upgrade all our roads, Enugu airport and drop a seaport.

Some people enjoy causing trouble Threatening to tear up the nation, starting up rebellious revolutions but they start crying when they are not called up to build the nation they are threatening to destroy. Nigeria can only be great United. The whole idea of Biafra should be banned. It is the same idea that have destroyed life and properties of fellow Nationals. So I think it's high time we ban that idea. Yakubu Gowon made the mistake of not prosecuting most of the then Biafran Generals for war crime. Ojukwu was comfortable enough to leave his people to die in their number while promising them Biafra. Losing the war the Coward flew out of the country as fast as he could not even bothering to honour the dead heroes that fought with him. That is what happens when you let one man determine the future of a group of people. And once again we are going down that lane. I have seen a lot of well to do Igbo people all over Nigeria with investment and family relationships that cross across ethnic groups. Then I have watched the people protesting for Biafra and I realise this are just young never do well touts that have little to call their own. They know they have nothing to lose so they are starting up a rebellion that will affect those that have everything to lose. Wasn't that the case of the old Biafra struggle? Ojukwu had nothing to lose from the war so he started it and after millions of his people have lost their lives he ran away, talk about cowardice.

No juicy appointment = Marginalization = Biafra.
No wonder, the President and reasonable Nigerians have largely ignored them.

Not only that he has Marginalised the south East and south-south.

As for the President, I advice him to standby his words because the Igbos will not tolerate the insults received in the past.

Ohaneze igbos said this to federal ministers,

"we expect them to close ranks and work towards developing igboland".

What about other regions? This is something I knew already and just bringing it to other people's attention. And this is the reason why I think Buhari made a mistake by giving the TRADE & INVESTMENT to ibos. The ibo man will block all investment going to other regions especially SW(their number one enemy) and divert all to the SE just as the Stella Oduah prevented some flights to the SW and North but forced them to the Enugu until Kwankwanso threatened her.

Ibos are not capable of handling a ministry that is important to all regions considering the animosity they have towards others especially Yoruba. Fayemi should have been given that instead. Well, I guess Nigerians still have a lot to learn about this people!
