Reports reaching Naij.com have it that some women are currently protesting in Benin City, the Edo state capital against Governor Adams Oshiomole.

According to Omosode Igbinedion, a daughter of billionaire Gbariel Igbinedion, indignant women are protesting against the governor’s unbridled utterances.

The protesters who are dressed in red are marching along the streets of the state’s capital and carry placards that read ‘Osho You Are A Bad Man’.On November 9, Patrick Obahiagbon, the chief of staff to Governor Oshiomhole, was attacked by angry protesters who pelted him with stones.

People were protesting against what they called multiple taxation and introduction of land use charges, and insisted that the governor must address them in person to listen to their grievances.

Meanwhile, Lucky Igbinedion, a former governor of Edo state, blasted Oshiomhole , calling him the biggest thief in Benin City. He also called on his successor to explain to the people of the state how he spent the federal allocations and internal generated revenues running into trillions naira in seven years.
