If you think time is running out to find your soulmate, these two prove you’re never too old to find love.

British couple George Kirby, 103, and Doreen Luckie, 91, are officially the world’s oldest newlyweds, according to Guinness World Records. They had a combined age of 194 years 280 days on their wedding day.

George and Doreen tied the knot at the Langham Hotel, Eastbourne, in June this year on George’s 103rd birthday. But, they had to wait five months for their record to be verified.

The previous world record holders had a combined age of 191 years 126 days.

George and Doreen, who have been ‘living in sin’ since 1988, finally decided make things official after giving into pressure from their elderly children.

‘I didn’t get down on one knee, because I don’t think I would have been able to get back up,’ George explained of his proposal on Valentine’s Day.

The two have seven children, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren between them.

‘I can definitely say we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together,’ said George.
