Yesterday, November 18, at the grand finale of the APC campaign rally in Lokoja, the state capital, VP Osinbajo called on people of Kogi state to stay back to defend their votes in the Saturday governorship election. The election is 48hours away.

The VP said;“Join the train of change as the captain of the present ship in the state is currently asleep.”

Also speaking to the crowd at the rally, the party governorship candidate Audu said the PDP government in the state had completely ruined tKogi as civil servants, local government workers as well as pensioners hardly get paid. However he vowed to clear the backlog of salary arrears and effect promotion of workers if elected in the Saturday poll.

There is no disputing the fact that Kogi as a state is asleep. However, if you compare Kogi state to Nigeria's present situation , you would agree that Nigeria is in slumber. Your Vp is a charcoal that is complaining that a pot is black.
