Ambode Forces Lagos State Civil Servants To Access Bank! by ZeliaLauren(f): 3:29pm On Nov 20, 2015
Lagos State Governor Akinwumi Ambode, has given Lagos state civil servants a directive to move all salary accounts to Access Bank.
Prior to this directive, Lagos state civil servants were entitled to choose any bank of their choice to open a salary account.
The directive mandates all civil servants to close all existing salary accounts with banks other than Access Bank with immediate effect ignoring their records, relationship built with these banks over the years and encroaching their privacy.
Even though their are other salary collecting banks, Access Bank seem to be the only bank being emphasized.
Viewing this issue, major questions come to mind like, Is this a political move? or is Ambode returning a favour to Access Bank? Did Access Bank finance His election? or is Access Bank the Best and only Bank in Nigeria?
From interview with Civil servants, Access Bank may not be the right choice as most civil servants rely on Bank loan and Access Bank is not ready to offer that to them.
Lagos Sate Governor seem to focus on irrelevant issues affecting Lagosians, instead of issues such as the almighty LACK OF WATER all around Lagos state, SECURITY,TRAFFIC,BIKE MEN ALL OVER TOWN, and many others. This system has been effective, why change it? why take the right of civil servants , why shouldn't they choose their own salary banks?
Many Civil servants are worried as salaries would be paid next week and anyone without an Access Bank salary account would not be paid.

People, is this a professional or personal move from Ambode? or is he returning a political favour?

Please leave comments and share so we can fight this injustice together!

Is it unconstitutional?

Must it be linked to something? Politics? Favor? Personal gain?

Seriously?

Ask ambode on twitter if u re curious to his motive of doing that!

You need to see atrocities committed by certain lagos state staffs... Even the lips dudes n babes... I don't want to relate this to something else.

Hmmm as much as i can see a bright light at the end of the tunnel for this idea, i still wonder why one bank and why the urgency? it should be like three banks at least and enough time given for the workers to open the acct
