I scroll through today Nairalanders birthdays and was astonished to find so many people with the age 22. So what happened that this many people were conceived at the same day? What happened in 1993 exactly 22 years ago. Well four key events occurred.

1.June 12, 1993 — MKO Abiola wins the Presidential election, The first since the 1983 coup by Ibrahim Babangida.

2. At that same moment the election was annulled by IBB

3. August 26, 1993 — President Ibrahim Babangida steps down due to pressure from the Armed Forces Ruling Council. Ernest Shonekan assumes the reins of power as the Interim Head of State.

4. November 17, 1993 — Ernest Shonekan is forced to
resign from office. Defence Minister , Sani Abacha
becomes Head of State, and establishes the Provisional
Ruling Council of Nigeria.

Well back to the question, What happened that this many people were conceived on the same day? To get the answer you have to count 9 months back(Normal period for pregnancy)... They you have it, February! Nothing much happened on February 1993 except it is the Valentine month! I guess Valentine was so hot in 1993 that couples bang the hell out of each other . The result is this many 22 year old born on November 21.
