Am of the tenet this happen in real life. If fortunately you met a muslimah but nt yet physical and a compromise was made to meet in open surrounding to discuss your intentions but she declined and insisted if a visit cannot be paid to her abode instead no other means. Moreover you've got 'only' (once or never) one chance to meet this muslimah due to other duties.

The brother can go to her 'abode'. But let him make sure they don't stay in seclusion. I mean the meeting place has to be open. Also I believe it is closer to piety for you to make the meeting brief by going straight to your point ( your proposal). Don't allow her to lead u into temptation through her stalling tactics.
Gifts? I think its too early for that.

her mahrom must be present in the meeting, maybe that's why she wants you to come to her abode.
