Former President Goodluck Jonathan turned 58 yesterday and had a little party to celebrate.

In the pictures shared by his former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, we see the immediate past president smiling and clinking glasses with a few of his friends.

His wife, Patience Jonathan was conspicuously missing in the photos and so were a lot of the political bigwigs who used to hang around him when he was still President.

A lot of Nigerians also noted the absence of the usual barrage of birthday wishes in the national dailies. Well, as the saying goes, there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics, just permanent interests.
