25 Amazing Photos from Hajj 1953 Catch a glimpse of how it was like to perform Hajj in 1953. Though this was only just over 60 years ago, a lot has changed mainly due to the increase in the number of pilgrims going to perform Hajj Many pilgrims would travel to Makkah via a ferry or a ship, in those days commercial air travel was still in its early stages and it was not as widely available as it is today. For those who could afford it, they would embark on their journey on board small planes from nearby countries. Like today, coaches would be used to transport pilgrims from place to place. Only Muslims are allowed into the holy lands. Worshippers outside the Mosque’s entrance. The Ka’ba and the Mataf area. The floors were not tiled back then. Newnas: stupid...may Allah bless the oppressed people of the eastern province whose wealth have been used and abused. what they used from that wealth to develop Makkah is like a drop in the ocean compared to what they squander for holidays in europe following ashewos and gambling and doing haram, every type of haram. may Allah also bless the Muslim ummah whom al-Saud tax heavily for visa to perform hajj. Makkah belongs to all Muslims. how much visa fee do al Saud impose on the Muslims to perform hajj? what of the expensive hotels and american franchises in the holy land that are ripping off Muslim pilgrims? compare the hajj season of not more than three million pilgrims to the Arbaeen visitation in Karbala during which over twenty to thirty million visitors flood to the holy city of Karbala. compare the visa fee, compare the free food, the free accommodation, the kindness of the Iraqis etc. what nonsense are you feeding us with your sectarian bird eye.
ameen...depending if you truly know who those "rightly guided (12) caliphs" are as prophesied by the Prophet (s). |
