Constipation is inability to get rid of waste material easily from the system. Constipation is a Latin word meaning "crowded together." It is having hard, dry and infrequent stools. And that  means there would be difficulty in bowel movement. And take note that there is the need for a complete elimination within 18-24 hours. You should have complete elimination of waste from the system within 18-24 hours except when perhabs, no meal was taken for a long period of time.
Virtually everyone has experienced constipation in one form or the other before. There are some known factors which could trigger that condition. A careful look at the known causes would help us to overcome that health problem which could lead to some other serious health problems like: bad breath, body odour, depression, fatigue, gas flatulence, headaches, hernia, indigestion, obesity (adding excess ) which in itself is a big health threat. Other consequences of constipation include appendicitis, haemorrhoids (bleeding pile).
When toxins are re-absobed from the bowel, it over taxes the Liver and Kidney which in themselves are channels of purification and elimination.
Other consequences of constipation include abdominal discomfort, lack of or poor appetite and lower back pain.
What Are The Factors that could Lead to Constipation?
1 Lack of enough fiber in the diet.
2 Too much intake of refined foods and highly concentrated meals.
3 Over Feeding.
4 Dairy foods, soft drinks & white flour.
5 SEdentary lifestyle.
6 Excessive use of Pharmauceticals antibiotics which may have grossly affected friendly bacterias in the systerm.
7 People who dont take enough fluid are also prone to constipation.
8 Antidrepressants; drugs use to treat depression.
9 Antihistamines: drugs use to treat allergies.
10 Older people and pregnant women are also succeptible to constipation.
TREATMENT
Avoiding any of the known factors that could lead to constipation as enunciated above is a major step towards solving it.
Ensure that your meals are rich in natural content.
Cultivate the habit of consuming fresh fruits and vegetables. Take note that fruits are best eaten on empty stomach  for some minutes before meal. Water or juices should not be taken in between meals imediately before and after meals.
Chewing about 3 to 4 cloves of garlic before retiring to bed and taking a glass of water does wonders.
Ripe pawpaw that is soft also helps in stoping that problem.
In conclusion, knowing what we eat how, and at what time we eat them, would go a long way to help us to be free from constipation and live very healthy lives.
