Last week, a poster on Nairaland under the platform of an association called Shadow Cabinet of Nigeria made some allegations against the COAS Lt Gen Burutai. She alleged that 105 (she later changed this to 106) soldiers were missing. In fact she further updated the forum that she had evidence that they were all dead. Here are some of the statements made by the so called Shadow Cabinet:

We are aware of the recent press statement by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, that no army officer is missing.‎

‎We beg to differ on this.
We have reached out to a few reliable sources within the ranks of the Nigerian military and we can confirm that things are very bad, the Nigerian press seem to be covering up a lot of things.

Could it be that the Nigerian Army and FG have colluded to quash this issue of grave concern by maintaining plausible deniability‎, in a bid to forestall a campaign similar to the BringBackOurGirls movement?

Please can Shadow Cabinet update this forum on the current situation regarding this issue? The death of 106 soldiers during a terrorist ambush is a critical issue. These allegations are weighty. It is so suspicious that the Shadow Cabinet has been silent on this issue.

I hereby use this medium to ask the following questions:

Who are these soldiers?

What are their names?

Where were they stationed?

Where are their families?

Mynd44, Lalasticlala

I have asked some questions here in relation to this purported death of 106 soldiers. How can this be the case without any evidence?

This is an opportunity for the accusers to provide the evidence for Nigerians.

Dont they have names?
