How Yahaya Bello Denied Himself of Being The Next Governor of Kogi State:

To the Ebiras, after agitating to APC not to deny them what they called their mandate. I think they should calm down and sit back to go through this article OBJECTIVELY without attaching SENTIMENT for a minute, to see how the so called FairPlus they are fighting for NAILED out himself from being the lucky next governor.

Right from inception, he was denied of being the APC flag bearer by his own tribes' men who betrayed and shunt his votes by not allowing him to contest alone from Kogi Central.... He was never betrayed by APC, yet he took the anger on the PARTY.... Now the party is to chose the next person to fill the vacuum the late Prince Abubakar Audu has created, only to find out the available option has betrayed them before the election, and this lead to the calling of fresh primaries.

The following are how FairPlus betrayed APC and denied himself of being the next Kogi State Governor;

1) He never participated in any activities of the party that brought them close to the land of Glory in this election after losing in first primaries to the Late Prince Abubakar Audu.

2) He has never been loyal to the party ever since he lose the primaries.

3) He never for once campaign for APC either at his own home or else where.

4) He couldn't win his own ward for APC let alone the whole Okene LGA in this inconclusive election. And he wants to be substituted for the Late Prince Abubakar Audu.

4) And finally, it was gathered intelligently, that he was been bribe with #10million to gather votes for PDP in Okene LGA.

After critical analysis of those allegations above, APC comes to conclusion to go for another fresh primaries.

So, before the Ebiras will start crying out loud that they've been denied of their mandate, they should take their time to reflect on those allegations above.

Let's pray for his success as they go for fresh primaries...

Obviously you don't know the real matters surrounding the August primary election. Let me help you a bit. cool cheesy

Audu was not supposed to participate in the primary election because of his pending case of corruption that's with EFCC. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/192409-how-apc-ignored-efccs-advice-not-to-field-audu-as-kogi-guber-candidate.html
He (Audu) as the chairman of the screening committee during the senatorial election, screened out Otunba Sam Aro from participating in Kogi West senatorial election; reason being that he has a pending case with EFCC. However, it's not unlikely that he just wanted to give Dino Melaye, whose popularity was fast being overwhelmed by Sam Aro's, a chance at the upper legislative house election. But Audu won't let the same sword of disqualification on his throat -he bribed the screening committee who declared him fit to contest. This didn't go down well with other contestants.

After Audu emerged winner of the primary election, Yahaya Bello filed an appeal to the APC NWC concerning the irregularities surrounding Audu's candidacy:

1. That contrary to the party's constitution that anyone having corruption charges with the antigraft agencies should not contest an elective position, Audu contested the primary election in spite of his pending case with EFCC.

2. That the party's constitution mandates any member of the BOT willing to contest an election to resign (with a written letter) 30 days to the primary, Audu didn't resign. He was video recorded as he was voting in the primary election as a member of BOT.

3. That in view of the above, Audu shouldn't be made the flag bearer of the party whose constitution he's seen violating.

The 5 man appeal panel of the NWC, after rigorous cross examination of the issues raised came up with a recommendation that Audu should be replaced with the runner up. The powers that be in APC as led by Bola Tinubu, in a bid to protect their vested interests quashed the appeal panel report and allowed Audu to enjoy the 'dividends' of impunity. Buhari was unhappy but he won't talk since he doesn't want to offend the Jagaban of Borgu. This is another reason he distant himself from the candidacy of Audu.

Shortly after Yahaya Bello filed his appeal, Audu went to the media insulting all the political leaders of Kogi central including Senator M. S. Ohiare whom he called an expired politician of no value and Bello a 'rabble rouser'. http://www.thebreakingtimes.com/abubakar-audu-labels-apc-leader-ohiare-as-a-man-who-outlived-his-usefulness/

It will interest you to know that none of the 34 other contestants in the APC primary worked with Audu during campaign because of the manner he spited them and went all the way to Lagos to secure 'Jagaban immunity' in exchange for the deputy governor slot.

I cannot claim that Yahaya Bello campaigned for Audu in any capacity, for obvious reasons, but I know he was loyal to the party all through. He jettisoned the intense pressure mounted on him by his supporters to defect to another party. I don't exactly know what you mean by him being disloyal to APC.
It's also ridiculous to allege that a young billionaire like Bello would accept a peanut of N10m as a bribe to do that dirty God-forsaken job against his own party APC. How comes he himself was seen voting for APC during the election?

This call for another primary election in the face of a valid one is a desperate game of favoritism. I am beginning to see this as an extension of the reason why Prince Abubakar Audu had to die and pave way for another man to harvest his labour. Time will tell whether this myriads of reckless impunity trailing internal democracy in APC would continue to earn the tolerance of the masses. 2019 is just around the corner. PDP as an opposition party today was the ruling party earlier this year. Let the wise watch his or her back.[/color]

Hmmmmmm lies from the pit of hell......... May God continue to pay everyone what they wishes others. Ebiras fought for the so called Kogi State and even since then, Ebiras never tasted Governor and they're still existing. If its time for them to rule no one can stop it not even this lie from the pit of hell. Ebiras wanted power shift to either west or central but he west seems to be too greedy the way things are going now. God help Kogi State.

Audu’s replacemet: Kogi APC leaders divided on Bello, Faleke

Less than 24 after the remains of Prince Abubakar Audu was committed to mother earth, the leadership of the opposition All Progressives Congress may have settled for James Faleke as the candidate for the remaining supplementary election or a rerun, Vanguard can reliably inform.
There were meetings at Lokoja and Abuja by the leaders of the party on Tuesday, ostensibly to find a way round the circle of confusion engulfing the death of its governorship candidate in last Saturday’s governorship election that had been declared inconclusive.

It is yet to be known if Audu died before the commencement of collation in Lokoja or after the election was declared inconclusive.

It was rumoured that the former governor died after hearing about the inconclusiveness of the process due to the cancellation of close to 50,000 votes.

Meanwhile, a family source told Vanguard that Audu died in the early hours of Sunday. The concealment of the news of his death was said to have been informed by political exigencies.

The source said: “Prince died before daybreak on Sunday. But some people told us to conceal the news so as not to play into the hands of political opponents. The death was shrouded in secrecy because we got to know that Audu’s death was not natural”.

A group, Kogi United Forum has however called on the police to investigate a certain political leader from the South West over Audu’s death.

The APC has since discovered they have no luxury of mourning for two long with the cobwebs of legality weaving around the Kogi governorship. The past 24 hours has led to the appearance of many knives on the day of the elephant’s death. Many legal experts have been shedding light on the way out of the constitutional logjam.

On its part, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress have been holding clandestine meetings at both Lokoja and Abuja.

A source told Vanguard that President Muhammadu Buhari has instructed the National Working Committee of the APC to ensure the law, and not individuals, is satisfied by its decisions on the Kogi matter.

It is believed that the group loyal to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu may have resolved to project Hon. Abiodun Faleke to take over the candidature of the late Prince Audu. The State Executive Committee of the party was said to have resolved to push the Faleke option through.

However, another group within the party which initially resisted the choice of Faleke as running mate, is bent on fielding someone from among the aspirants who contested the party’s governorship primaries in August.

Efforts at reaching the Chairman of APC in Kogi, Alh. Haddi Ametuo proved abortive as he failed to pick calls made to his phone.

He was said to be attending meetings related to the governorship election in Kogi.

A source who is a member of the State Working Committee of APC told Vanguard on condition of anonymity that the party is under tremendous pressure to go with Faleke.

“It is true. We are under pressure to ensure Faleke becomes the next governor of the state. But some of our leaders are insisting that Yahaya Bello is the right candidate to step in. Nothing has been decided yet but the thinking now among the State Executive Committee is to support Faleke”.

The Presidency’s Angle

The source also told Vanguard that the body language on the corridors of the Villa doesn’t favour a Faleke candidature.

Many chieftains of the party at the Villa are said to be rooting for Alh. Yahaya Bello

It will amount to modern day slavery if KOGI state allow a Lagos law maker, who don't even know their terrain talk more of political and infrastructural landscape.

Dey will be selling their souls to one cone head Amala eating jaganyash in lagos.

Put sentiments apart and let's enthrone competence. Yahaya Bello (FairPlus) is perfect for the job.
