Julius Agwu who recently gave out 250 turkeys
to American families in Atlanta, Georgia face
some backlash for the act.
The comedian has revealed the main reason for
the gesture through his rep and COO of the
Julius Agwu Foundation, Bishop Adejugbe.
Bishop told NET in a recent interview that,
“This gesture is in line with the vision and
mission of Julius Agwu Foundation Inc.
worldwide with our motto being For God &
Humanity,‘We chose to give back to a
community that has been very supportive of our
[Nigerian] community and businesses in the
United States. This community is a home to
probably the highest concentration of people of
Nigerian descent in the State of Georgia, and it
may also interest you to know that we have the
only officially recognized Yoruba traditional ruler
in the US HRM Oba Shola Akinrimsi the Oriade of
Georgia with staff of office from the Mayor of
Riverdale resides in the City of Riverdale. The
Oba was one of the dignitaries that attended the
thanksgiving give-away”
