Imo State Improved From 17 - 77% In NECO Exams Under Gov. Okorocha - Registrar by ujoatu(m): 2:41pm On Nov 26, 2015
His Excellency, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha today, in a meeting with the National Examinations Council (NECO) led by Professor Abdulrashid Garba, met to extend a hand of friendship and solidify the relationship between the council and Imo state Governor and to appreciate the Governor for what he has been doing to the NECO office in the state and at the national level.

According to the NECO Registrar, in 2011, Imo state had 17% Credit in English and Mathematics but today it is 77% due to the vision of Imo State Governor of Free Education in Imo state which has become a reality.

"Your investment in education is yielding the desired results please don't relent"

The Governor advised that English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects for students to pass in order to be admitted into universities be scraped as soon as possible. Gov Okorocha said "if loving education is a crime, let me remain a sinner. Education is a right and not a privilege and must be free, so that children of the poor can go to school"

The delegation commended His Excellency for his efforts towards education in the state and presented him with an award.

The Head of Service, Mr Callistus Ekenze, and many other top government functionaries were in attendance.

From JAMB to ordianry common entrance examination is there anyone Imo State does not fill the uppermost cader? Imo State has been and will ramain academic heavtweight in Nigeria long after the Mallam Rochas Okoroewu has left governemnt house in Owerri.

This dumbass fool seems ready to tarnish the image of Imo State in particular and Igbo in general in order to welcome silly arcolade.
