Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets were paid only 2-match bonuses during at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile a member of the Nigeria Football Federation has disclosed to footballlive.ng.
Chairman of the Nigeria Nationwide League Ahmed Muazu Kawu revealed that the victorious Eaglets were virtually abandoned during the world cup and sent on their way like “Al Majeris”.


Kawu also faulted authorities for the ‘unfair treatment’ of the players arguing that they should get rewards for bringing glory to the country rather than have certain people take undue credit for what the team achieved in Chile.
