The Welshman opened the scoring with a well-taken header and his strike partner put the game beyond doubt from the spot, but Benitez's men were far from their bestGareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo scored at the end of each half to give Real Madrid a 2-0 victory over Eibar, which moves the Blancos within six points of leaders Barcelona.
Rafa Benitez's men were far from convincing across the 90 minutes, but took the lead just before half-time when Bale nodded home a fine cross from Lukas Modric.
Ronaldo then stepped up to end a five-hour Liga goal drought from the penalty spot, after Lucas Vazquez had been brought down.
