The National chairman of Labour party in the company of some Labour party executives today paid a courtesy call on his Excellency Gov N.E. WIKE.

The Labour Party Chairman said he was overwhelmed by the development that has been achieved by the government within this short time.

The LP National Chairman who had taken out time to interact with non indegines from his state noted that the Governor has created a peaceful atmosphere for them to live Rivers workers.

He noted that the Governor has not delayed in paying salaries and has offset the backlog of salaries owed Rivers State workers. He also appreciated the Governor's effort in sponsoring Moslems and Moslem for pilgrimage.

In responding the Governor appreciated surppotiveness of the labour party and also said that governence is not about Party but about the welfare of the people.

He said that it is wrong for workers to be owed salaries and that even if the country is facing economic challenges he would prioritise the payment of workers salaries. He also said he would not be a party to any call to reduce the salary of workers.
