President Buhari will leave for South Africa tomorrow December 3rd to participate in the Forum on China/Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). A statement issued by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, says that during the forum Buhari will have a meeting with Chinese president, Xi Jinping, on how to re-commence stalled rail projects under new terms that would see China providing nearly all the financing required.

The statement in part reads

"Of particular interest is the coastal railway project stretching for 1,402 kilometres linking Lagos in the west with Calabar in the South; a project that is expected to be financed with $12 billion Chinese loan and which will create about 200,000 jobs. Another rail project that will be up for renegotiation is the $8.3bn Lagos-Kano standard gauge modernisation project, of which only a segment, Kaduna-Abuja, had reached completion stage. President Buhari is also expected to discuss ways of removing all obstacles in the way of the 3,050 MW Mambila Power Station, considered a strategic project which was conceived in 1982 but has not taken off. The Chinese president had informed President Buhari of the willingness of his country to finance the whole project through a special loan agreement," the statement said.

Those to accompany him on the trip are Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema; Minister of Transportation, Chubuike Amaechi; and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah. They are expected back to the country on Saturday December 5th.

oga ooooooooooooo

visiting again... baba visit d north jor

btw

types of people you meet in a bus

Most people if not all would have boarded a commercial bus either on a short distant journey or on a long distant one. But the question here is what kind of people have you sat next to in those buses or what kind of people did you meet there? Here is a list of people you are likely to meet

a. The garrulous ones
These ones are known for what they do, even outside the bus, they don’t rest. The can talk for eight hours running nonstop and not get tired, they can involve you in discussions that doesn’t concern you and are very good in reminding you how bad the country's situation is. Be ready for war if you don’t reply them, they will take you as a fool not knowing they are the noisemakers

b. The telephone callers
I don’t know what kind of plan they use or how well they get bonuses, maybe its #2/sec but am sure it’s not mtn. There isn’t any wrong thing in making or receiving phone calls in a commercial bus but the nauseating thing attached to these guys is the way they shout while making those calls. They don’t care they are not in a private area, they still scream on the line, some even go to the extent of saying ‘have you sent me that 500000 i told you.....................................

Doing his job as president, both nationally and internationally.

Keep flying high for positive global diplomacy and ensure Nigeria benefits in terms of investments and global standing that would always put us in prime positions.

AfDB comes to mind, also the UN security council seat in the nearest future.
