Nonsense! Nonsense!! Nonsense!!!

Despite this clarification, it is still display of nonsense by the Senate. When last did they pass any bill that will benefit the common man on the street? But they keep passing the ones that covers their stealing.

Whistle blower bill is there, no show! PIB dey there, no show.

May God test His wrath on these stupid leaders!
Shame on them all(APC&PDPD)

That is not the bill. He just scratched the periphery to pass his massage. The Bill stressed much about the Social media

THE BILL

The bill is called “A Bill for an Act to Prohibit frivolous
Petitions and other Matters Connected therewith”.
It reads thus,

“Where any person in order to circumvent this
law makes any allegation and or publish any
statement, petition in any paper, radio, or any
medium of whatever description, with malicious
intent to discredit or set the public against any
person or group of persons, institutions of
government, he shall be guilty of an offence and
upon conviction, shall be liable to an
imprisonment term of two years or a fine of
N4,000,000.00” the bill specified.

On social media, the bill reads;

“Where any person through text message ,tweets,
WhatsApp or through any social media post any
abusive statement knowing same to be false with
intent to set the public against any person and
group of persons, an institution of government or
such other bodies established by law shall be
guilty of an offence and upon conviction, shall be
liable to an imprisonment for two years or a fine
of N2,000,000.00 or both fine and imprisonment.”

The bill said it shall be an offence for any petition to
be submitted without a sworn affidavit from the law
court.

It's sure that Saraki and other corrupt SINators and legisLOOTERS are behind the passage of this bill. This is simply corruption fighting back and it is aimed at muzzling the media and whistle blowers, which brings me to the question of when the whistle blower's protection and WITSEC (witness protection) act is bona be passed by this useless bunch?

I think Nigerians have the duty to protest for a repeal of this law and threaten to recall whichever stupid rep is not ready to do the bidding of the people. But what am I saying anyways? We'd prefer biafra protest to a real emancipation protest as telling these useless lawmakers who the boss is. Little wonder they are unified in looting and corruption while they continue to laugh at Nigerians that kill themselves over secession.

My question is....is it right to use the Comic Sans font for an official letter?
Re: Senate Clarifies Social Media Bill Rumours by Nobody: 8:50am On Dec 03, 2015
Truth be told we all saw this coming but still voted in the same people who put nigeria where it is today! #recycledleadership and that's where we seem to have a problem... same old dullards saying the same old things using new tunes and we are so easily fooled by it... They came and they screamed out change but we failed to ask if it was change for a better nigeria or a worse one... They have thieves as ministers... A known pathological liar as the minister of INFORMATION... And instead of occupying we sit on our hands and suffer... come here to rant and cause more issues not for them but ourselves... While they sit in the comfort of their offices not a care as to what the common man goes through...
Nigeria needs a leader who has been through the suffering and knows what it's like... not someone who is taking the glory of his assistant (tunde idiagbon) and claiming it's his... More action less talk... its been over six months now... what do we have if not more suffering...

This voice FG is trying to shut down is the power of the poor mases. And in totality it is a threat to democracy.During Jonathan regime everyone was entitled to his or her opinion. Now buhari who masterminded the abuses and defamatory messages against goodluck are trying to jail us. Just get ready to jail all Nigerians. All I know is buhari does not possess school cert. Buhari show your certificate.

"Senator Na’Allah’s bill seeks to make illegal, the common act of individuals sponsoring frivolous petitions to tarnish/blackmail public servants or political office holders for selfish purposes"

The question is, when you people (APC members) were tarnishing the image of your opposition with the greatest lies and highest propagandas before the election so that your party wins the election, did you go to court to seek clarification? Yeye people, now in power is seeking for protection because they know that they will not be able to deliver. Note that no amount of illegality you want to attach to freedom of speech in any form or matter will stop somebody like Fayose, FFK and the likes

D Fuji House of Assembly is exactly what is wrong with dis country... If only dey have d interest of the citizens at heart. So long as laws dat can change the status quo are not made or existing laws are not followed things will continue to b d same. There is a Senate/house committee in charge of every ministry, department and agency and there's nothing that goes on in those places dat dey are not aware of. They either look d other way wen it favours dem or scream blue murder wen their interests and demands have not been met. Changing things in dis country isn't really up to any presidency or it's cabinet. It's mostly up to members of dat house and unfortunately dey are only interested in themselves.

Nigeria gradually getting worse than Russia and China in terms of freedom of press

1. Freedom of press comes with its responsibilities. If peddling rumours, false information and frivolous petitions amount to freedom of speech, then wake me up when we become more civilised.

2. Passing insults on the social media is not freedom of speech.

3. Mainstream media already know d ruuules and try to conform to responsible journalism. It's about time the rules are extended to social media.

Cheers.
