Youths with placards and fresh tree branches are gathered at the residence of the traditional ruler of Badagry, Oba Akran, to protest the alleged shooting of a young man, Joshua Sehunji, by a policeman on Thursday.

Joshua, 23, was alleged to have been shot at about 9.15 pm by an unknown policeman in the Jegba area of Badagry town.

According to eyewitnesses, Mr Sehunji, an apprentice plumber, was having dinner at a food vendor’s stall after closing from work, when a police patrol van believed to be from the Badagry Police division arrived the area with the intention of raiding hoodlums.

Eyewitnesses say the policemen shot into the air and then into a group of people eating at the food vendor’s. The bullet allegedly tore through the abdomen of the unsuspecting Joshua who was eating noodles, ripping it open and spilling his guts on the ground.

The policemen allegedly got into their van and drove off. Neighbours and other people who initially fled the scene came back and immediately rushed him to the hospital. He died shortly after arriving at the Harmony Hospital in Badagry.

The PRO of the Lagos police command, Joseph Offor, said he is yet to be informed of the incident and promised to provide details of what happened after he has been briefed.

Why has our law makers not made it mandatory for all police vehicles to have dash cams(small video recorder). That way they'll be forced to act right,if not the judge can simply call for the records and prosecute accordingly with hard video evidence.

Its high time we stop recruiting illiterates as police men.
People that are suppose to provide security are now turning against the populace.
This is my judgement:
The evil police man should be thrown into a doorless and windowless dark room with enogh sun flies and left to suffer without food until he dies.
Court Rise!

Reasson: Since he killed a man eating noodles.

Why would you say 'they don't have vehicles?' ,let me assume you are just joking cause even recently Ambode bought more than 100 vehicles for the Nigerian police force in Lagos.

The most useless institution in the world, Nigerian Police Force.

They re path between the living nd the dead.
They kill innocent civilian to appease their black gods.

Wish spirits go to war before finally departing else, would ve recommended the spirit starts with the killers youngest in the family.

What is the national assembly doing about unruly law enforcement agents carrying out terrorist attacks on their own people?

But if it is to gag the voice of the people via social media, they will be on speed lane.

Nigerian police force should be reinvented.

1. they kill innocent citizens

2. They are useless in kidnap cases

3. They aid and abet criminals

4. They don't investigate before arresting

5. They sell justice to the highest bidders.

6. They run away from active crime scenes.

7. They arrest and harass innocent citizens.

8. They steal from the poor by taking bribes.

9. They themselves are lawless

10. They are corrupt.

How did we ever get here?
